Hey Guildies. I wanted to give you a quick reminder that on Tuesday July 17th at 7pm Eastern, we are going to have a live Guild Meeting on the topic of flush-trimming router bits. We’ll talk about the different kinds of bits and configurations available and how to best prepare your work and templates. For those who can’t make it, the event will be recorded and posted on the Guild site. The live session will be viewable on the TWW Live Page.

Now the other piece of business is the next Guild project. To be honest, with my new shop currently in progress and most of my tools in storage, my options are fairly limited. So I decided that now is the perfect time to introduce one of our new Guild video categories: the “Limited Tool” series. The idea is to build something awesome, using as few tools as possible. Perhaps later we can establish what tools we want to include in our “Limited Tools Toolbox”. But for now, I am only limiting myself by what I have access to in my garage. Primarily, the circular saw and router. The project I have in mind is an idea I got from one of the big magazines years ago: the One Sheet Bookcase. This is a bookcase that is designed to utilize one single sheet of plywood! I also plan to demonstrate how if we add just one sheet of 1/4″ ply and some off-the-shelf moulding, we can really spruce the bookcase up and give it a more traditional look. So that’s the goal my friends! My target date for releasing this content is mid-August (if not sooner). And I’ll have a cut list and Sketch-Up for you as soon as possible.
