Roubo Giveaway Winners
The giveaway winners were selected at random. Only folks who submitted a completed (or nearly completed) workbench were eligible for the Moxon and the Veritas Surface Clamp. But the entire Guild was eligible for the Lie Nielsen Saw. Congrats to our winners as well as everyone who completed a workbench. Just having a Roubo in your shop is almost a prize in and of itself!
The Benchcrafted Moxon vise clamps to any bench, raising your workpiece to a convenient height and hold it rock-solid. If you cut dovetails and other joints by hand, this is a vise that will completely change your experience in the shop. Fast and effortless, the Moxon vise makes joinery a pleasure. The Benchcrafted Moxon vise kit goes to Paul Loney!
Veritas Surface Clamps are small bench hold-downs, just the thing for holding the loose end of a long board to a bench skirt or a board jack. They’ll fit anywhere you can drill a 3/4″ hole up to an 1-3/8″ deep. The Veritas Surface Clamp goes to Steven Moll!
The Carcass Saw is used for precise cuts across the grain, cutting tenon shoulders, and defining the edges of a dado. It has 14 points per inch, filed crosscut, for cutting quickly, yet accurately and smoothly. The Lie Nielsen cross-cut saw goes to Trevor Braun!
I just received my roubo kit from benchcrafted yesterday. I have a lot of work to do! Just got back into my shop after a year1
Congratulations! I started with the rest but am still working on completing the project (Life does get in the way sometimes) – Just finished the top w/Tail-vise install – this is probably my favorite Guild build so-far. So many challenges and lessons learned! All of the completed benches so far have continued to be an encouragement!
Way to go Guild Members!
A big congrats to ALL who finished this build. I know I’m an, over the top, happy camper with mine. This was more difficult than anything I’ve built to date, just in sheer size. Congrats to the winners of the drawing!! Well done everyone!! Well done Marc and the Guild design team!!
Congrats to all.
Dang! I’m just getting my wood this week so I can finally get started. Bought the Benchcrafted hardware last fall, but waited for the right deal to finally get the lumber.
