Effective date: August 13, 2026

1. Who We Are

These Terms of Service govern your use of thewoodwhispererguild.com, operated by The Wood Whisperer, Inc., 2135 Mette Road, Wentzville, MO 63385 (“we,” “us,” or “our”).

By creating an account, purchasing a course, subscribing to Guild Stream, or otherwise using the site, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the site.

2. Eligibility and Your Account

You must be at least 18 years old, or have the consent of a parent or guardian, to make a purchase.

You are responsible for keeping your login information secure and for activity under your account. Accounts are for individual use. You may not share your login information to give others access to courses or other paid content.

We may suspend or terminate an account used to share paid content.

If you believe someone has accessed your account without permission, contact us at info@thewoodwhisperer.com.

3. Guild Courses

Purchasing a Guild course makes you a Guild member. You do not need to pay an additional recurring membership fee to keep access to courses you purchased.

A course purchase includes access to its video lessons and available course materials, which may include plans, cut lists, SketchUp files, and other downloads. Guild members may also receive access to member features such as lesson discussions, Guild meetings, demonstrations, interviews, discounts, private communities, and Ask Marc.

Member benefits and site features may change over time. Changes to those benefits do not affect your right to access courses you purchased, subject to these terms.

Courses you purchase remain in your library and available to watch for as long as we continue to operate the Guild website and have the legal right and technical ability to provide them. If we decide to shut down the Guild website, we will make reasonable efforts to give members advance notice and an opportunity to download materials that we make available for download.

When we describe course access or Guild membership as “lifetime,” “forever,” or “for life,” we mean for as long as we operate the Guild website, as described in this section, and not the lifetime of any individual. Lifetime Guild membership means you do not pay a recurring fee to remain a member, although specific member benefits may change as described above.

Plans and drawings are designed to be used with the course lessons and are not sold separately.

Some courses include SketchUp files as an additional resource. SketchUp files are not required to complete a course.

Closed captions are available on supported streamed videos. Downloaded video files may not include captions.

4. Guild Stream Subscriptions

Guild Stream is an optional recurring subscription separate from individual course purchases.

Guild Stream is currently offered at $19 per month or $199 per year. Current pricing will always be shown before you subscribe.

Guild Stream currently includes streaming access to two selected Marc Spagnuolo Guild courses each calendar month, downloadable plans and cut lists for those courses, and a 10% discount on Guild course purchases. The selected courses normally change on the first day of each month.

Guild Stream does not include downloadable video lessons. Courses viewed through Guild Stream are not added to your permanent course library. To retain access to a course after it leaves Guild Stream or after your subscription ends, you must purchase that course separately.

Automatic Renewal

Guild Stream renews automatically until you cancel. Monthly subscriptions renew monthly, and annual subscriptions renew annually. You will receive and email letting you know before the subscription renews.

By subscribing, you authorize us and our payment processor to charge your payment method at each renewal at the price then applicable to your subscription.

Cancellation

You may cancel at any time through My Account > My Subscription > Cancel.

Cancellation stops future renewals. Unless otherwise stated when you cancel, you will continue to have Guild Stream access through the end of the billing period you have already paid for.

Price Changes

We may change Guild Stream pricing. We will give existing subscribers at least 30 days’ notice before a price increase applies to their subscription. You may cancel before the new price takes effect.

Failed Payments

If a renewal payment fails, we or our payment processor may retry the payment. We may suspend Guild Stream access while payment remains unpaid.

5. Refunds and Cancellations

Guild courses and Guild Stream deliver digital content immediately after purchase. Because access is granted right away, course purchases are not refundable once the purchase is complete.

Pre-orders may be refunded at any time before the course is released.

Guild Stream may be cancelled at any time through My Account > My Subscription. Cancellation stops future renewals. We do not provide partial refunds for the remainder of a billing period you have already paid for.

If you were charged in error, charged twice, or cannot access something you paid for, contact us at mailto:info@thewoodwhisperer.com, and we will make it right.

Customers in the European Union and the United Kingdom

If you are a consumer in the EU or the UK, you normally have 14 days to withdraw from a purchase of digital content. That right is lost once you have given express consent to immediate access and acknowledged that you lose the right of withdrawal.

At checkout, we ask you to give that consent before your purchase is completed. By checking that box and completing your purchase, you request immediate access to the digital content and acknowledge that you lose your right of withdrawal.

If you do not want to give that consent, do not complete the purchase. Contact us at mailto:info@thewoodwhisperer.com instead.

Nothing in this section limits rights you have that cannot be waived under the law that applies to you.

6. License and What You May Build

When you purchase a course, we grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to access and use the course for your own education and woodworking.

You may build as many copies of the project as you like for your own use.

You may not copy, resell, redistribute, share, upload, stream, publish, or publicly post our videos, plans, cut lists, SketchUp files, or other course materials, in whole or in part, except where the law gives you a right to do so.

Selling Projects You Build

Guild designs are intended primarily as educational projects for personal use.

We do not object to members occasionally selling individual pieces they build, such as a piece made for a friend or family member. You may not use a Guild design as a regular product in a woodworking business without permission from the person who owns the rights to that design.

If you want to sell pieces based on a Guild design on an ongoing basis, contact the relevant instructor about licensing.

Our Name and Logo

The Wood Whisperer, The Wood Whisperer Guild, TWW, TWW Guild, and associated names and logos are owned by The Wood Whisperer, Inc. These terms do not grant you permission to use our trademarks, branding, or logos.

7. Discounts and Gift Certificates

We may offer student, teacher, military, promotional, or other discounts from time to time. Eligibility requirements and exclusions may apply.

Student and military discounts apply to eligible course purchases and not to Guild Stream subscriptions unless we state otherwise.

Student discounts are intended for individual educational use and not for purchasing course access for an entire class.

Gift certificates may be purchased and sent to another person. Gift certificates are not redeemable for cash except where required by law.

We may change or end discount programs at any time. Discounts cannot be applied retroactively to a completed purchase unless we choose to make an exception.

8. Community, Comments, and Conduct

Guild lesson comments and private Guild communities are moderated.

If you request access to a private Guild group hosted on another platform, we may require information that allows us to confirm your Guild membership.

When using Guild communities, you may not:

  • Post unlawful, threatening, harassing, hateful, or infringing content.
  • Post spam or use the community primarily to promote a business or product without permission.
  • Share or help others obtain paid Guild content without permission.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to another person’s account or our systems.
  • Knowingly encourage unsafe woodworking practices.

You keep ownership of content you post. By posting it, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display, store, reproduce, and moderate that content as needed to operate our site and communities.

We may remove content or suspend community or account access when someone violates these terms. When appropriate, we may first ask the person to correct the problem.

9. Woodworking Safety and Results

Woodworking involves sharp tools, power tools, machinery, chemicals, heavy objects, and other hazards. Serious injury, death, and property damage are possible.

Our courses and other content provide woodworking education and instruction. They do not replace your own judgment, proper training, a tool manufacturer’s instructions, or the safety requirements for your tools and workspace.

You are responsible for deciding whether a technique is safe and appropriate for you, your tools, your skill level, and your workspace. Always follow the manufacturer’s instructions for your tools and equipment and use appropriate safety equipment.

Wood, tools, shops, skills, and working conditions vary. We do not guarantee that you will achieve a particular result by following one of our courses.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Wood Whisperer, Inc., its instructors, and its staff are not responsible for injury, property damage, or other loss resulting from your use or application of our instructional content.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.

10. Site and Content Availability

We work to keep the Guild site and its content available, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted access.

Maintenance, technical failures, security issues, third-party service failures, legal requirements, or other events may temporarily or permanently affect parts of the site.

We may update or re-edit course content to fix errors, improve quality, or account for changes in tools or techniques.

We will not intentionally remove a course you purchased from your library except when we no longer have the legal right or practical ability to provide it, or when these terms allow us to terminate your access.

11. Third-Party Services

We use third-party services to operate the Guild, including services for payment processing, email, video hosting, analytics, website hosting, and other business functions.

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information and how service providers may process information on our behalf.

The site may also link to websites and services we do not control. We are not responsible for the content, policies, security, or availability of those outside services.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for claims arising from or related to the Guild website, a course, a Guild Stream subscription, or these terms will not exceed the greater of $100 or the amount you paid us during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, business opportunities, or data.

These limitations do not apply where the law does not allow us to limit liability.

13. Indemnity

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless The Wood Whisperer, Inc., its instructors, employees, and representatives from third-party claims, damages, liabilities, and reasonable legal costs arising from your violation of these terms, your infringement of another person’s rights, or content you post through the site.

14. Suspension and Termination

You may stop using the site at any time. You may cancel a Guild Stream subscription as described above.

We may restrict, suspend, or terminate an account when we reasonably believe a user has violated these terms, misused the site, shared paid content without permission, threatened the security of the site, or engaged in fraud or unlawful activity.

Termination for a violation of these terms does not automatically entitle you to a refund.

If we terminate a paid Guild Stream subscription without cause, we will refund the unused portion of the current paid subscription period.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time.

When we make a material change, we will update the effective date and provide reasonable notice through the site, email, or another appropriate method.

Your continued use of the Guild after updated terms take effect means you agree to the updated terms.

16. Governing Law and Disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Missouri, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.

Before starting a formal legal proceeding, you agree to contact us at info@thewoodwhisperer.com and give us 30 days to try to resolve the dispute informally.

Nothing in this section prevents either party from seeking relief when waiting 30 days would cause immediate or irreparable harm.

17. General Terms

If a court finds part of these terms unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in effect.

If we do not enforce a provision of these terms in one instance, that does not waive our right to enforce it later.

These Terms of Service, together with our Privacy Policy and any Refund and Cancellation Policy that applies to your purchase, form the agreement between you and The Wood Whisperer, Inc. concerning your use of the Guild website.
