Low Entertainment Center Plans
Hey folks. Thanks to Aaron Marshall, we now have a working set of plans and a Sketchup file for the Low Entertainment Center project. These plans are going to be made available for $9.99. But for Guild members, they will be FREE! What I need from you guys is feedback. If you find any errors or if something just doesn’t make sense, please let me know about it. Otherwise, enjoy the plans!

Same problem. Tried to open on different machine, same problem. Tried to download on that different machine, opened no problem. odd… file size was different, by about 1MB… sorted for now.
I believe the download on the second machine is the new file.
well, i had 2 different file sizes when i downloaded on the first machine from before and after your post about updating it, so i am not sure, however will assume that first machine is dodgy due to downloading all the other stuff at same time… cheers, and get on and make something!
Cheers Marc, not sure why I am having all these file problems… I am a computer programmer by profession, so i believe it’s not stupid user error. The videos all work fine, although getting all 15 Roubo ones downloaded in HD on my 300kbps line is proving fun!
Does one need to open these in a previous version of sketchup? I tried in sketchup 8 and it says “unexpected file format”.
when i do “open” and select the file, the preview box is fine, however when i click open, then i get the error.
This is definitely an older file. But you should get the standard message when opening old files where it tells you that if you save it with the new version, you won’t be able to open it again with the old version of the software. I just tested it and it works as expected. When I have some spare time I’ll just save it and re-upload the updated version.
Scratch that. I just re-uploaded it. See if you still get the error. Although I’m still a little perplexed as to why you were seeing an error in the first place.
The plans and the Sketchup file look great. Even though I have my TV mounted on the wall, I’m considering building something like this just because it looks so friggin’ awesome.
Thanks for sharing! Very nice. Downloading these plans made me realize I know NOTHING about Sketchup. I have some catching up to do.
Boy, those are nicely detailed plans. Just the way I need them.
Thanks
